The tragic details of a murder investigation at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas have been revealed by the police. The victim, Larissa Garcia, who worked as an escort under the names “Andrea” and “Dallas,” was brutally attacked in her hotel room on June 12. She was a mother of two and was striving to improve her life by attending school.
The suspect, Jason Kendall, called 911 on the day of the incident claiming Garcia was overdosing. However, when Palms security arrived at the scene, they found Garcia with a lacerated jaw and rushed her to Spring Valley Hospital. Shockingly, doctors found no drugs or alcohol in her system, but suspected she had been suffocated.
According to the police report, Kendall admitted to paying Garcia $2,000 before assaulting her. He confessed to strangling her after she asked for more money, stating that he “snapped” during the encounter. The report indicated that Kendall had violently attacked Garcia, engaging in a sexual assault as well.
Kendall, a 35-year-old Army veteran, turned himself in to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Headquarters and was charged with open murder, sexual assault, and battery by strangulation to commit sexual assault. The victim, who was well-known in the escort industry and worked for a local escort agency, tragically passed away at the hospital more than a week after the assault.
The Palms Casino Resort, owned by the Manuel Band of Mission Indians, is now at the center of this disturbing investigation. The hotel, which was previously owned by the Maloof family and later purchased by Red Rock Resorts, has been cooperating with the authorities in the case.
As the investigation continues, Kendall remains in custody without bail and is scheduled for his next court appearance on Tuesday.
