Jerry Lewis’ Las Vegas home, where he lived for 35 years until his passing in 2017, is set to go up for auction. The auction will take place during an open house event on June 29th, with a starting bid of $999,999. However, the reserve price remains undisclosed.

The 7,925 square-foot residence, located at 1701 Waldman Ave., boasts 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Although the house no longer contains any of Lewis’ original belongings, it still holds historical significance as the place where the legendary comedian spent many years.

Constructed in 1964 on three-quarters of an acre in the Scotch 80s neighborhood of Las Vegas, the house has a rich history. Lewis, born Joseph Levitch, was a well-known comedian who achieved fame as part of the comedy duo Martin and Lewis in the 1950s. He was also recognized for his work in films like “The Nutty Professor” and his annual telethons for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Following Lewis’ passing, his widow sold the house to investor Jane Popple, who later sold it to Blooming Desert LLC. The new owners made some modern updates to the home while preserving its original features, such as a crystal chandelier and a wooden bar/lounge from the 1960s.

Unfortunately, Blooming Desert LLC defaulted on mortgage payments, leading to the house being sold to Brumbles Capital in a foreclosure sale. Brumbles Capital is now believed to be the current owner of this iconic piece of Las Vegas history.

The upcoming auction presents a unique opportunity for interested buyers to own a piece of entertainment history and live in the former home of a legendary comedian. As the bidding begins at $1 million, the excitement surrounding the auction is palpable, with attendees required to pre-qualify or provide proof of funds before participating.

Don’t miss out on the chance to own a piece of Jerry Lewis’ legacy by attending the auction on June 29th and potentially becoming the next owner of this historic Las Vegas property.
