Bally’s and Maverick Gaming recently announced their partnership to open a poker room at the Twin River casino in Rhode Island. The poker room will be named the Bally’s Maverick Poker Room, and the goal is to attract world-renowned poker players and establish it as the premier poker destination in the region. Maverick Gaming, led by CEO Eric Persson, brings valuable knowledge and experience to enhance the gaming experience.

Maverick Gaming owns several casinos in Colorado and Nevada, as well as card rooms in Washington. The poker room at Bally’s Twin River will offer daily tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $450, along with cash games. This partnership is part of Bally’s ongoing efforts to improve its Twin River property, with $60 million already invested in upgrades such as a non-smoking gaming space, Asian food hall, Korean-style spa, and more.

Bally’s and Maverick Gaming have a history of collaboration, with previous plans to open the Maverick Gaming Poker Room at the Tropicana in Las Vegas that did not come to fruition due to the venue’s closure. Persson, a frequent guest on “Bally’s Big Bet Poker,” envisions holding tournaments seven days a week with varying buy-ins to accommodate players of all levels. The long-term plan includes hosting a twice-annual circuit event at Bally’s Twin River that could attract over 3,000 players.

The partnership between Bally’s and Maverick Gaming highlights the commitment to providing guests with an exceptional gaming experience and exceeding expectations. With $100 million allocated for improvements across their Rhode Island venues, including the one in Tiverton, Bally’s is dedicated to innovation and guest satisfaction.
