A second man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a hip-hop performer in the parking garage of an Indiana gaming property. Chaz Davis of Louisville, Ky., was recently arrested on various counts including murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, auto theft, obstruction of justice, theft, and criminal mischief. Davis, who awaits extradition to Indiana, remains incarcerated in Kentucky’s Larue County Detention Center for a separate crime.

The victim, LilDon Williams, 32, was killed on March 17 in what was described as an execution-style homicide after the two suspects waited for Williams to return to his car. Williams had spent three hours in the Elizabeth, Ind. casino before heading back to his Dodge Charger parked in the garage. Upon seeing the two masked suspects, Williams attempted to flee, but the men took out assault rifles and shot him multiple times, resulting in his death at the scene.

Both Davis and his co-defendant, Antwaun Proctor, fled the garage in separate cars. Proctor was recently sentenced to 45 years in prison for his involvement in the casino murder. The suspects were identified through surveillance cameras, traffic cameras, and cell phone records. They confessed to the homicide, according to authorities.

The incident began when Proctor and Davis followed Williams from a concert in Louisville, Ky. to Caesar’s Southern Indiana Casino. Williams parked at the casino garage before entering the property with friends and relatives and later returning to the garage.

It remains unclear why the two suspects targeted Williams. This tragic event has left Williams’ family grieving, although the arrest of the suspects has provided some relief. Williams’ wife, Rannisha, mentioned that while this will never bring complete closure to the family, they are grateful that both suspects have been apprehended, allowing them to begin the grieving process properly.
